Laughing with Cancer dares us to believe the disease that has wreaked havoc in so many lives may also contain a hidden gift that once realised can give meaning and purpose to our lives.
Laughing with cancer will inspire and enable you to develop an attitude to lead a more fulfilled life regardless of the issues you are facing.
Why Laughing with Cancer?
Let me introduce myself and what this blog is about.
I have had cancer twice, the last time in 2008 resulting in a stem-cell transplant. I also have Parkinson’s disease, which can provide some amusing moments. On 26th May 2010, I was diagnosed with cancer for the third time and am about to start treatment.
To quote Marianne Faithful on her recovery from breast cancer:
"It has been an extraordinary experience and, in many ways, extremely positive."
This site is for anyone affected by cancer, including friends and family. It has also proved exceptionally helpful to people dealing with other issues.
You have the opportunity to receive a weekly email that is informative and inspirational encouraging you on your journey. You may be having treatment. You may be in recovery. You may be having one of those days worrying about the future and how you will face it. Or you may just be curious about the title of this site, whatever your reason - WELCOME.
Please join me on this adventure, as I don't want to do it alone.
